First edition, first impression. Inscribed by Dennis Wheatley. 8vo. With 'First Published 1953' to the copyright page as called for therefore indicating a true first printing, original black boards with lettering in gilt to the spine, rubbing to boards, slight lean. Minor wear to the front board, not affecting the jacket The map style end-papers are unmarked, internally clean. The original unclipped dustjacket has a few chips and nicks but overall is a very strong and fresh example.
