Paul McCartney | 1966, fine signed photograph taken by Robert (Bob) Whittaker. Large scale & framed.

£4,500.00 GBP

“We were en route to Japan, flying over the North Pole, when we learned we were being diverted to Alaska. Upon landing in Anchorage, there was no motorcade to greet us. We squeezed into a small bus, with me sitting behind Neil, and headed to a local box hotel. It was disheartening to see how the country's natural beauty had been marred by these buildings.” (Robert Whittaker)

This original photograph by Robert (Bob) Whittaker captures Paul McCartney with a Japanese fan in a hotel room in Anchorage, Alaska, where The Beatles were rerouted due to inclement weather on their way to Japan for their 1966 tour.

This original photograph is not part of any known edition. It is titled, dated, and signed by the photographer in pencil, along with the location where it was taken. After conducting research, I have found no other instances of this specific photo available for sale, making it a rare and early image of Paul McCartney at the peak of Beatlemania.

Framed Size: 74 x 58 cm
