First edition, first impression with all the requisite first issue points: Printing number line: 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1; Wendy Cooling blurb to the front board; 'wand' appears twice on page 53; 'Philosopher's' is mis-spelt 'Philospher's' to the back board and; 'Wizardry and Witchcraft' [rather than Witchcraft and Wizardry'] to the back board; Joanne Rowling" for "J.K. Rowling", and lastly and "Thomas Taylor1997" (lacking the space) on the copyright page.
One of the original 500 first editions - 300 were sent to libraries and 200 sold. The library editions all have library stamps and as such are devalued. The sold copies (the most desirable to collectors) are overwhelmingly in awful and very read condition.
The example we're selling is one of the 200 sold copies, in pristine condition and features a laid in signature by JK Rowling. An extremely rare item as the only other copies on the market are all ex-library.
